FAQ

Is prior childcare experience mandatory for application?

A minimum of 500 hours of childcare experience is required. This can include sibling care, tutoring, kindergarten internships, or summer class supervision. Candidates lacking sufficient experience are advised to acquire it before applying.

Can I seamlessly transition to further studies after the Au Pair program?

The 3 master's courses (9 credits) completed remotely during the Au Pair phase are from a WASC-accredited university. Upon meeting admission criteria (passing grades and language proficiency), you are eligible to transfer to an F-1 visa for continued academic pursuits.

How is host family safety ensured?

All host families undergo stringent vetting by U.S. Department of State-certified agencies. This includes comprehensive criminal background checks, home safety inspections, income verification, and personal interviews. Additionally, local community advisors conduct monthly home visits to uphold your safety and comfort.

What distinguishes this program from traditional paid study abroad?

The Au Pair study program integrates an initial 'earn-while-you-learn' phase, making it ideal for students with budget constraints or intermediate English proficiency. During the Au Pair period, you receive complimentary room and board, a net income of $10,000 annually, and earn academic credits, resulting in a significantly lower overall cost compared to direct paid study abroad.

What happens if my visa application is denied?

A 100% refund is issued within 7 days of enrollment. However, the enrollment fee is non-refundable if the visa is rejected. No refunds are provided for personal withdrawal mid-program. Third-party fees from overseas institutions adhere to their respective policies.
