Sales Rep - Construction/ Steel About Your New Employer Join a well-established steel distributor and manufacturer with an excellent reputation for quality, service and innovation. This is an exciting opportunity to join a stable team and take ownership of a growing Munster territory, particularly across Cork. About Your New Job As Business Development Manager, you will: Manage and grow customer relationships across Cork, Limerick, Tipperary, Clare and Kerry. Develop new business and manage existing accounts across construction, engineering, steel, builder merchants, precast and agricultural sectors. Build strong relationships with key decision-makers, including Procurement Managers, Buyers, Managing Directors, Quantity Surveyors and Production Managers. Manage the full sales cycle, from initial engagement and quoting through to negotiation and order completion. Develop account plans and a strong sales pipeline across the territory. Spend three days per week meeting customers in the field, with two days working from home. The role will involve working on projects across housing, commercial developments, ports, railway stations and wider infrastructure. Deal sizes can range from €10,000–€15,000. What Skills You Need At least three years’ experience in Business Development or a similar sales role within construction, engineering, steel or a related industry. Strong knowledge of the Irish construction and engineering market, with an established network in the sector. A proven track record in winning new business, managing sales pipelines and achieving targets. Excellent communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills. Full clean driving licence and flexibility to travel throughout Munster. What's on Offer Salary of €55,000–€60,000 DOE Commission or bonus structure to be agreed. Company car, phone and laptop.
