Description
As a Customs Broker in our Sydney office, you will be responsible for managing and facilitating customs clearance processes for international freight shipments. Your key duties include:
Preparing and lodging customs entries for import and export shipments, ensuring compliance with Australian customs regulations and biosecurity requirements.
Liaising with clients, shipping lines, airlines, and government agencies to resolve customs-related issues and ensure timely clearance of goods.
Classifying goods according to the Harmonized Tariff System and determining applicable duties, taxes, and fees.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
A valid Australian Customs Broker License.
Proven experience in customs brokerage within the international freight forwarding industry.
In-depth knowledge of Australian customs regulations, biosecurity requirements, and tariff classification.
